Franchimont

Franchimont (in Walloon Frantchîmont ) is a section of the Belgian city of Philippeville located in Walloon region in the Province of Namur.

It was a commune with whole share before the fusion of the communes of 1977.

Agricultural small town. The carnival (2nd Saturday of March) there becomes extensive at the point more and more to close the village with circulation.

One should not confuse this old commune with the Marquisat de Franchimont.

Site of the race of motor bikes, 12 hours of Chinelle.
