He becomes the apprentice of a merchant of Florence and joined, at 15 years, a group of merchants for a voyage to Avignon, place of residence of the pope, where he becomes supplier into luxury article and work of art for different cardinal. He is one of the precursors of the market of the art dedicated to high religious dignities, being interested not in the product itself, but rather in the quality of his realization and his interest for prospect customers.
To the forty years age, it briefly turns over in its native commune to marry Marghareta there, 25 years its junior. Information which we have today on him comes mainly from the weekly letters which it then exchanges with his wife.
In 1400, accompanied by his wife and her illegitimate daughter, it leaves for Bologna to flee the plague, before turning over to Prato where it dies of old age ten years later.
