Francesco Talenti
Francesco Talenti (born v. 1300 with Florence - died in 1369) was a Sculpteur and a Italian Architecte of the 14th century
Biography
If the activity of architect of Francesco Telenti is quoted in the realization of the dome of Orvieto towards 1325 one cannot which works allot to him. In 1351, he becomes project superintendent in the construction of the cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore of Florence, succeeding Andrea Pisano in the work management. It increases the structure by redrawing the large apses and the bedside in the nave, returning largest the Florentin dome ever built hitherto. It finishes the bell-tower of Giotto.
Simone di Francesco Talenti , or Simone Talenti , his/her son, plus sculptor that architect, will intervene with Orsanmichele by drawing the fillings of the arcades of the building to its change of final destination in 1404, passing from loggia with church.
One also owes the Loggia dei Lanzi in Simone, and Benci di Cione, both pupils of Andrea Orcagna.
