Francesco Squarcione
Francesco Squarcione (about 1397-1468) is an Italian painter of the Renaissance who was the professor of Crivelli and of Andrea Mantegna with which it had difficult relations. There remains only two works signed of him, one is in a church of Padoue, the other, a virgin with the child, is preserved at Berlin.
Ansuino da Forlì was its pupil.
