Francesco Rasi
Francesco Rasi (born the May 14th 1574 with Arezzo, Tuscan - died v. 1625) was a type-setter, singer of opera, Claveciniste, player of Chitarrone and poet Italy N.
Biography
Francesco Rasi was the pupil of Giulio Caccini. In 1598, it enters to the service of the duke of Mantoue. Two years later, with the authorization of the duke, he interprets with Florence celebrates it opera Euridice Jacopo Peri. In 1607, at the court of Mantoue, he will be the interpreter of Orfeo in the opera éponyme of Monteverdi.
In 1608, he sings in the Dafne of Marco da Gagliano with dimensions of Caterina Martinelli. Then its career of type-setter takes the step on that of singer. It composes in particular of the madrigaux with only one vote, of the Motet S and a pastoral Cibele ED ATI . ----
