Francesco Manfredini
Francesco Onofrio Manfredini (baptized the June 22nd 1684 with Pistoia - † the October 6th 1762) was a Violoniste and Italian Compositeur.
He studied in the musical medium of the school of the cathedral San Petronio to Bologna, the violin with Giuseppe Torelli, composition and counterpoint with Girolamo Nicolò Laurenti and Giacomo Antonio Perti.
He occupied the posts of violonist with Ferrare with the church Spirito Santo, after having achieved this station during eight years he goes back to Bologna to join the orchestra of San Petronio.
At the time of a stay in Venice in 1711 prince Antonio I Grimaldi engages it as choirmaster to Monaco, in 1718 Manfredini dedicates his concertos COp 3 to him.
He regained his birthplace Pistoia in 1727 when it will remain until its death, at the post of choirmaster of the cathedral San Filippo.
Its two sons were the type-setter and Castrat Giuseppe Manfredini and the son junior Vincenzo Manfredini (*1737 - † 1799 with Saint-Pétersbourg).
We know a limited quantity of its works, of which printed and some manuscripts.
