Francesco Colonna

Francesco Colonna (born in 1433 with Venice - died in 1527 in the same city) was a monk Italian Dominicain to whom one allots the Hypnerotomachia Poliphili.

We know very few things about Colonna: he lived with Venice and was used for the basilica Saint-Marc. Apart from Hypnerotomachia Poliphili , he also wrote poems epic of which Delfili Somnium (the dream of the dolphin), poem which was published only in 1959.

Colonna passed part of her life in the monastery of Jean Saint and Saint Paul to Venice. ----
