Francesco Chiesa is a poet and Swiss short story writer of Italian language, born with Sagno in 1871 and died in Lugano in 1973.
It followed studies of right to Pavia, before turning to the literature. Through its first accounts, whose Racconti puerili (1921), Tempo di marzo (1925) and Racconti LED me orto (1929), Chiesa reports its youth and the climate of the interval wars, but is interested especially in the cultural identity of Tessin, only canton italophone of Switzerland. Chiesa belongs however to the Italian letters and refuses to write in dialect tessinois. He is the author of several collections of poetries, of which Sonetti di San Silvestro .
