Francesco Alberoni (born in Borgonovo Valley Tidone (Pleasure - Italy), the December 31st 1929) is Sociologue, Journaliste and professor in Sociologie. He was member of the board of directors and Conseiller in the place of the president of the SPOKE, national television Italian, between 2002 and 2005.
Alberoni is one of the rare journalists to have a leading article on first page of the Corriere beyond Will be , the newspaper most prestigious of Italy, which presents each Monday a leading article of four columns entitled Pubblico E Privato since 1982. The Corriere beyond Will be publishes the articles of Alberoni since 1973.
Childhood and adolescence
Although Alberoni was student model and a true perfectionist at the school, he admits that he supported badly lasts it military discipline imposed to the pupils for the fascistic period . According to its autobiography, it was a born leader, who always invented plays and adventures for his group of friends. Since at that time there were no books at his place, Alberoni discovered the pleasure of the reading only at the end of the Second world war. It started to spend the afternoon entireties to reading in the public library of Pleasure, it liked the history particularly.Alberoni studied with the scientific College then moved with Pavia to study medicine. To Pavia, it came into contact with brother Agostino Gemelli who pushed it to continue studies in the field of the social behavior.
In 1958, Alberoni married Vincenza Pugliese, with which it had three children: Margherita, Francesca and Paolo Giovanni Agostino (in homage to brother Agostino Gemelli). Successively he married Laura, with which he had a fourth child: Giulio (in homage to its grandfather Giulio Alberoni).
Academic career

- Assistant professor of sociology in 1961 then full professor of sociology at the Catholic University of Milan in 1964
- Member of the National Commission of the Olivetti-Ford Foundation Social Science Research Council
- Directing with the University of Thirty (Italy) of 1968 to 1970
- Professor with the University of Lausanne then to the University of Catania and finally to the University of State of Milano in 1978
- Founder of the University IULM of which he was the director of 1998 to 2001
- Membre of the Council of Administration of Cinecittà holding of the cinematographic pole of Rome (2002-2005)
- President of the Experimental Center of Cinematography to Rome since 2002
Publications
Alberoni undertook many research in the field of the Sociologie of the movements and the individuals, especially on the nature of the Amour and on the relations between individuals and groupes.The angular stone of the construction of the social/philosophical/psychological thought of Alberoni appears and is essential in the book Movimento E istituzione of 1977. It represents one of the first sociological treaties in the world on the sociological analysis of the movements, on their birth, their evolution and their death. This book is considered, by the scientific community, as a fundamental stage of the analysis of the movements. The concept developed in this book turns around the concept of incipient State, the “incipient condition”, the moment when the union, the ideas, the communication do not make any more that one and gives life to the movement. This first work was preceded by the book Consumi E società (1964), which contributed to the formation of the school of marketing in Italy.
In 1979, Alberoni publishes Innamoramento E amore which had a world success. In this book, which develops later on the ideas and the models of Movement and institution, Alberoni supports that the experiment of the love is essentially the condition incipient from a collective movement including/understanding exclusively two people. Alberoni explores the subject thus thoroughly by as much as possible using the language in love rather than the abstract jargon with the psychoanalysis or sociology. This book, rigorously scientific while being innovating from the linguistic point of view, becomes an international best-seller, translates into twenty languages. Published on several occasions, it is still reprinted in much country.
