Frances Tustin (1913 - 1994), is a British Psychanalyste - teaching of formation - contributed much to the reflection théorico-private clinic of the Autisme, in which it is a recognized specialist. She had a particularly difficult life, in her childhood and as adult what will make it attentive with the psychic suffering. Analyzed by Wilfred Bion and Stanley Leigh, it initially tried to apply the technique of Melanie Klein to the autistic children but it had to enrich it to take into account the question of the anguish inherent in this disorder. She taught with the Tavistock Clinic and leaves many works and articles on her work requiring and innovative. She classified the autism in three groups: abnormal primary education autism (prolongation of the usually transitory period of the autism), secondary autism with carapace (virtually identical to the autism of Kanner), and regressive secondary autism (or infantile schizophrenia).
