History:

It is in 1980 that Radio France with the authorization to create three local radios: Northern Frequency, Radio operator Mayenne and Melun FM. Daniel Hamelin, producer-organizer of France Inter and FR3 takes the responsability for the experimental station of Radio France in Mayenne with Laval, one of the very first experimental local stations, installation by the President Jacqueline Baudrier. She is launched the June 16th 1980, and the success quickly gained by Radio Mayenne made it possible at Radio France to develop a network of several tens of local radios gathered from now on within the Blue network France .

Born before 1981 and the release from the frequencies FM, it is thus one of the three older radios FM of France. Its success was enormous as of 1980: to buy radios FM Mayennais were going to seek " stations Radio operator Mayenne ". Many artists passed there (Goldman, Cabrel, Michel Berger etc)
