France-News-Zealand in Rugby with XV
This article presents confrontations between the team of France of Rugby to XV and the team of New Zealand of Rugby to XV.
History
- on January 1st 1906, the team of France plays the very first official match of its history, in old the Parc of the Princes, vis-a-vis the New Zealand. In round in British Isles, the All Blacks had agreed to make a hook by Paris. After having played a last match with Swansea on December 30th, they take the boat until Boulogne-sur-Mer, then the train until the Gare of North. In spite of the tiredness of the voyage and already three months of round during which they gained 31 their 32 matches, they are essential easily 38-8 vis-a-vis the France in front of 3.000 spectators.
- In 1926 took place with Colombes France official Maoris, gained by the latter 12 - 3.
- the first victory of the team of France (3-0) took place in 1954 thanks to a test of Jean Prat.
- the July 14th 1979, national feastday French, France beats finally All Blacks in New Zealand, in Eden Park d' Auckland, on the score from 24 to 19 (France: 4 tests Galleon, Caussade, Averous and Codorniou, 1 penalty, 1 drop and 1 transformation. New Zealand: 2 tests Wilson, Mourie and 3 penalties).
- June 7th 1987, All Blacks beat France finally first world cup of Rugby
- July 3rd 1994, the team of France marks a test of anthology at the end of the match, which enables him to gain both test matches disputed in 1994 in New Zealand.
- the October 31st 1999, the XV of France makes a success of one of the greatest exploits of the history of Rugby by eliminating All Blacks, grandissimes favorite, in semi-final of the World cup (43-31).
- Since 2000, the two teams clash for the Trophée Dave Gallaher, of the name of the third line New Zealander Dave Gallaher, captain of its team and fallen in Belgium during the First World War.
- With a team primarily made up of substitutes whose 11 beginners, the majority of the best players being mobilized by the final stages of the championship, the Blue ones are swept at the time of two tests matches in New Zealand in June 2007. They box the heaviest defeat of all the history of the XV of France at the time of the second disputed test with Wellington (10-61).
- the October 6th 2007, with the Millennium Stadium of Cardiff, the French selection pulled by Bernard Laporte gains the quarterfinal the opponent in All Blacks, however favorites, by 20 to 18. France, country host of the competition, is the second nation-host of the history to be qualified for a semi-final while playing outside (England had beaten France in Paris in World cup of Rugby at XV 1991). For the first time since the beginning of the competition, All Blacks do not reach the stage of the semi-finals.
