Francastel

Francastel is a common French, located in the department of the Oise and the area Picardy.

Geography

History

The first village, which was with the site of the current cemetery, was destroyed by the Normands.

Rebuilt on the site which it occupies today, it was strengthened but damaged by the Jacquerie, then by the Bourguignons which destroyed the castle in 1472.

The village was served by the secondary Railroad Estrées-Saint-Denis - Froissy - Crèvecœur-the-Large of 1911 to 1961
