François de Vivonne
François de Vivonne, lord of the Chestnut grove , was a French gentleman, born in 1520, died in Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer the July 11th 1547.
It had as a godfather François I {{er}}, and it was high at the court. It was a robust, known young man for his physical force and its address with the weapons. He took part during the Guerres of Italy in the Siège of Coni where he showed his courage and his value militaire.
Unfortunately, these undeniable qualities were tarnished by its mood excessively quarreller and présomptueuse.
He is especially known for his participation in the famous legal duel the opponent with Guy Chabot of Saint-Froze, 7° baron of Jarnac and known under the name of “Coup of Jarnac”, of which he was the unexpected one overcome. He died of the continuations of this combat the July 11th 1547, after having torn off his bandages.
