François de Ravignan

François de Ravignan is Agricultural engineer, former researcher at the National institute of the agronomic research (INRA). He worked a long time in the countries of the South and is the author of many works, in particular on the hunger in the world.

Course

After studies of agronomy in particular under the direction of Rene Dumont, (with which it Co-writing a book in 1977), François de Ravignan carried on research activities and of formation in Black Africa and with the the Maghreb in the years 1960 and 1970. Then, as researcher with the INRA, he worked in Europe (France, Italy, Spain, Germany).

Following these experiments of development, he becomes a specialist in the hunger in the world. After does two works on the question in collaboration, with Albert Provent then Jacques Berthelot, it reconsider the subject in 1983 with a book published and prefaced by Denis Clerc the hunger why? , which with the wire of the republications (the fifth date of 2003), tends to becoming traditional on the question.

In parallel, the activities of agronomist of François de Ravignan lead it to be interested in the questions of Développement. In 1979, it founds association Champs of the world which it will animate until in 1987, in particular with François Partant. It then takes part in the activities of association the horizon of which he was president during several years. It published many articles on the After-development, in particular in the form of chronicles on Internet.

François de Ravignan also published several works more especially intended for the Christian mediums, most recent being the economy the Gospel proof.
