François Tanguy-Prigent

François-Tanguy Prigent , known as Tanguy-Prigent , is a French politician born the October 11th 1909 with Saint-Jean-of-Finger (Finistere) and died the January 20th 1970 with Morlaix (Finistere).
Biography
Small farmer and directing country Federation of its native department. He is elected appointed socialist with the House of Commons in 1936, where he is the youngest child of the deputies of the Popular front. Tanguy-Prigent is one of the eighty members of Parliament who refuse the full powerss with Pétain the July 10th 1940. He takes part in the Résistance, first of all by creating the General confederation of agriculture, trade union clandestine, in 1943, then while adhering to the movement Release-North. In clandestinity, François Tanguy-Prigent becomes Jacques Ru.In 1944, it will be named Minister for agriculture. As of on October 12th, 1944, it removes the country Corporation, organization supporter of corporatism created in 1940 by the Régime of Vichy. He is elected at the two constituent National Assemblies, then like deputy of the Finistere until in 1958, always as a Socialist SFIO. He is several times Minister for Agriculture. He protects the peasants by guaranteeing the rights of the sharecroppers with respect to the owners.
In 1951, he is vice-president of the Study committee and connections of the Breton interests (CELIB), with Paul Ihuel and André Morice, the president being Rene Pleven.
Opposed to the return of de Gaulle in 1958, it leaves the SFIO in October 1959 and militates with PSA then with PSU. that it represents with the National Assembly 1962 with 1967 (it sits with the independents).
He was also general adviser of Finistere and newspaper editor. Its action with the ministry for Agriculture allowed the adoption of the statute of the tenant farming.
