François Sebastien Christophe Delaporte " known as Laporte" as from 1792

Born in Belfort, the September 15th 1760, died with Belfort, the March 25th 1823.

Under the Revolution

Man of law, more precisely, acknowledged with Belfort. François Christophe Sebastien Delaporte is elected by the Département of Haut-Rhin to the legislative Assemblée in 1791, Réélu appointed Convention by the same department in 1792. Of return after a mission in the departments of the Meurthe, the the Moselle and the the Low-Rhine, it is present at the Procès of Louis XVI, it votes death. In April 1793, it is sent like representing on mission to L Armée with the Ardennes, but it cannot get along with his three colleagues. It is again sent on mission with Jacques Reverchon to Lyon to repress the federalistic insurrection there, one entrusts the responsibility of raising to him a troop and besieging the city. After the capitulation of Lyon, it is limited to send to Convention the judgments of the revolutionary tribunal of Lyon while giving up to Jean-Marie Collot d' Herbois and to Joseph Fouché the responsibility of repress. Again sent on mission, near the Armed with the Alps to Nice. After Thermidor 9 year II (July 27th, 1794), it is charged to make apply the policy of the Convention thermidorienne to the inhabitants of Lyon, it disarms the Jacobins and makes stop the terrorist chiefs with whom he had one year before stopped and condemned the Lyonnais federalists. On its return to Convention, he criticizes those which “treat of aristocrat all that is not terrorist”. He is elected with the Comité of general security then to the Comité of public hello. With strength, it defends the decree concerning the freedom of the worship in order to calm the religious quarrels. At the time of the Insurrection of 1st meadow year III (May 20th, 1795) and Insurrection of the royalists of the 13 vendémiaire year IV (October 5th, 1795), it is one of the deputies charged to direct the armed forces.

Under the Directory

Under the Directory, the department of Haut-Rhin places it at the Conseil of the Five hundred, in 1796, it gives its resignation to undertake the supplies of the army. With the army of Italy, it is mingled with a business with embezzlement, it manages to be made clear.

Under the Consulate and the First Empire

Under the Consulate and the First Empire it does not exert any political office, it is lawyer with Lure.

Under the Restoration

With the return in France of the Bourbons it is not worried as a regicide, it is not exiled.
