François Rodier

François Rodier is a Danseur and Chorégraphe French born towards 1665 and died in Munich the January 17th 1753.
Wire of Jacques Rodier, Internal caliper gauge and member of the royal Academy of dance of Paris, François Rodier arrives at Munich with his father in 1666, engaged with the service of the princess Henriette-Adelaide. To died of his/her father, in July 1680, François Rodier is sent to Paris to perfect its formation near Louis Pécour. Of return to Munich in 1683, it is named Master of the ballets of the court of Bavaria and internal caliper gauge of Marie-Antoinette of Austria, first wife of Maximilien-Emmanuel.
Of 1685 with 1691, it composes of many ballets for the court, then Maximilien-Emmanuel takes it along with him to Brussels when it becomes governor of the Spanish Netherlands.
Rodier goes back to Munich in 1700 and continuous to compose of the ballets for the court of Bavaria. In 1710 it marries in second weddings the girl of the painter Franz Lott and remains ballet master in title until its death, which has occurred in 1753, at the 88 years age.
His/her brother Maximilien-Gaëtan (1670 - 1699) was ballet master at the court of Düsseldorf and his/her sister Marie-Anne-Christine (1673 - 1731) had married the Compositeur Pietro Torri.
