François Rebsamen

François Rebsamen is a Politician French, born the June 25th 1951 with Dijon, member of the Socialist party. He is married and is father of a child.

He is titular of a control of public Droit, of a OF the of Economic scenes and graduate of Political sciences.

Biography

Of 1984 with 1986 then of 1988 with 1991, it becomes Principal private secretary of Pierre Joxe. Then director-assistant of the cabinet of Laurent Fabius (1992-1993), finally adviser technical with the cabinet of Jean-Jack Queyranne, Minister for the relations with the Parliament.

In 1997, it is named national secretary of the Socialist party to the congress of Brest.

He is elected, in March 1998, general adviser of Dijon - V, with 51,5% of the votes cast vis-a-vis advising it outgoing.

He is elected mayor of this town of preserving tradition the March 18th 2001, with 52,14% of the votes compared with 47,86% with his adversary (RPR) Jean-François Bazin. He becomes thus the fourth mayor of the city elected since 1945, succeeding Robert Poujade (mayor of Dijon of 1971 with 2001), which was not represented, with Doctor Jean Veillet (mayor of 1968 with 1971) and with the Chanoine Kir (mayor of 1945 with 1968). He is the first mayor of left elected on Dijon since 1935. François Rebsamen fails to be made elect appointed at the time of the legislative elections of 2002 on the first district of Coast-in Or vis-a-vis the candidate UMP Bernard Depierre who succeeded Robert Poujade.

François Rebsamen is re-elected general adviser in March 2004, this time with 62,5% of the votes cast.

Very near to François Holland, he is the director of the countryside of the regional elections and cantonal in March 2004, then of the countryside of the Référendum intern in December of this same year on the European institutional treaty and finally of the countryside for yes to the national referendum of 2005.

In connection with these municipal elections of 2001 (where " victoires" left with Paris, Lyon and Dijon contrasted with the defeat of the socialist party in many medium-sized cities) and the successes gained by the left with the regional elections, cantonal and European of 2004, it underlined the share of the popular vote and preach of this fact an great attention of the PS to this electorate (maintenance with the Nouvel Observateur of April 8th, 2004).

After the deposit of the candidatures, and the renouncement of François Holland, Mr. Rebsamen becomes officially a partisan of Mrs. Royal. It belongs to its restricted team of countryside, as a deputy manager of countryside, with Jean-Louis Bianco. In 2007, he is the official deputy manager of countryside of Ségolène Royal for the presidential election.

It is on the basis of report which “one directs neither a city nor a country folded up on his camp” that François Rebsamen declares “favorable” to alliances with the MoDem for the municipal elections of March 2008. He declares whereas “the candidates introduced by the Socialist party must seek the broadest gathering (...) on the basis of common proposal”. He considers thus a desistance with the second turn for the candidate made at the head.
