François Raulin
François Raulin , is a Pianiste and Compositeur of Jazz French, born with Annecy on March 17th, 1956.
François Raulin begins studies of Mathématiques before devoting himself to the music. He integrates ARFI in 1981, where he meets Louis Sclavis which becomes a privileged partner as from 1985 then. He follows several collaborations within the groups of Louis Sclavis, of 1987 to 2001.
He begins in 1997 a work in common with Stéphan Oliva on Lennie Tristano. First of all in duet, to 2 pianos, their work extends to the septet with the participation from Laurent Dehors, Bruno Chevillon, Marc Ducret, Christophe Monniot, and Paul Rogers.
In 2001, François Raulin leaves the album Three plans on the comet , with François Corneloup and Bruno Chevillon which pays finally homage to its qualities of leader.
It is also interested of close with the Modern music. There is in particular a homage to György Ligeti on the title Hello Georges of his album Three plans on the comet .
