François Prume
François Prume (* June 3rd 1816 with Stavelot; † July 14th 1849 with Liege), was a Violoniste and Belgian Compositeur.
Biography
Wire of an organist begins the play of the violin to old three years and gives its first public concert to seven years with a concerto for violin of Pierre Rode. With old eleven years Prume receives a purse to be registered with the academy of Liege or there remained three years. The director then sends it to Paris to continue the étutes at François-Antoine Habeneck. He returns to Liege and becomes with old 17 years professor of the academy of the mosane city. He had inter alia like pupils, Hubert Léonard, Joseph Dupont (1821-1861), Jacques Dupuis (1830-1870), his nephew Frantz Jehin-Prume, but also Nicolas and Jean-Pierre Ysaÿe, uncle and father of Eugene Ysaÿe.In 1839 it gives up this station to be able to devote itself to many rounds in concert, which carried out it in the capitals of whole Europe. It also occurred in concert with Franz Liszt. Prume received the honorary title of " Virtuoso of the duke of Gotha". Died prematurely of a nervous fever engraves at the age of only 33 years, it is buried in Liege with the Cimetière of Robermont. In her memory the big room of the old abbey in her birthplace bears her name.
