François Pink is a Compositeur, Pianiste and Improvisateur French, born in 1945.
He studies initially the piano then the musical Analyze and the composition. He was one of the last pupils of Olivier Messiaen with CNSMDP. He also studies near Ivo Malec and of Paul Méfano. Appointed professor of analysis to CNR of Bordeaux in 1974, it meets there Jean-Marie Londeix, which will encourage it to write for saxophones by using the novel methods developed with this instrument. Exploration which it will quickly extend to all the other instruments of the Orchestre, even most incongruous or improbable (like the trucks of firemen…).
Holder of several international prizes of composition (of which the National Price of SACEM 1994 for the whole of his work), it is high with the row of Knight of the Ordre of Arts and the Letters, distinction that it enjoys to bring closer to that (obtained the same year 1991) of " Maistre Taster of Aligot" the Friendly one of Cantalès and Buronniers of the Mounts of Aubrac. Two significant aspects of a colourful character, holder of an unquestionable science and a trade acquired to compose the 400 numbers of Opus that one owes him today, sensitive in good epicurean to the pleasures of the spirit as to those of the body.
Improviser, it occurred near French musicians recognized like Beñat Achiary, Denis Badault, Bernard Lubat, Jean-Marc Padovani, Carlo Rizzo, Sylvain Kassap, Jean-Pierre Robert… or of the Basque shepherd Michel Etchekopart…
He is also author of many poetic and theoretical German and French texts. He is one of the cofounders of Goupe ICAR (Interpreters and Type-setters of Aquitaine for Research).
