François Pinion

François Pignon is the name of several characters of fiction created by Francis Veber. Several comedies whose Veber is the realizer and/or the scenario writer put in scene a bearing character this name.

Nevertheless, one cannot say that it is always about the same character, because Pignon forever interpreted twice by the same actor (except in the case of Pierre Richard). Thus, in the Dinner of idiots (1997), Pignon has been a quadragénaire released for two years by his wife, and refers of Jacques Villeret, whereas in a later film, the Lining (2006), it is thirty year seeking to allure his/her friend of childhood, and has the face of Gad Elmaleh.

François Perrin is another recurring name in the work of Veber.

The actor Francis Perrin played the part of “François Veber” in the Beginner (1986), coécrit by Daniel Janneau and Francis Perrin (he had also played “François Pépin” in Ca arrives only at me ).

The common point of these characters, who make from now on left the Folklore French, is their great naivety and their kindness.
