François Passerat is a Acteur, Poète and Dramaturge French of the 17th century.

François Passerat (who is not related to the famous Trojan poet of the 16th century Jean Passerat) was wire of a named actress Buisson (or Dubuisson) and played in the troop of the duke of Hanover as of 1684, of which he was also the secretary. With died of Frederic-Guillaume, it dedicates a praise to him and continues its career under the protection of Ernest-Auguste of Hanover, like secrétraire of his wife Sophie of Bohemia. This one advises to him to send its tragedy Sabinus to his/her niece Charlotte-Elisabeth of Orleans, sister-in-law of Louis XIV. It is probably what is worth in Passerat to play in front of the king in September 1692.

The weather is perhaps a time left the Comédie-Française, before joining the troop of the voter of Bavaria to Brussels. In 1695, it dedicates to him a collection of plays, Ballet S and pieces of poetry.

At the end of the century, it seems to be turned over to Hanover.
