François Miramond de Laroquette

Biography

Marie, Francois, Auguste Miramond de Laroquette were born on September 10th, 1871 in Riom in Puy de Dôme, François for the civil statue, but it will be known only under the first name of Francis its life during. A few days before its 20 years, it becomes “Santard” i.e. raises military school of health of Lyon and sign a voluntary engagement in the army for three years. It supports its thesis in October 1894 and it is named training doctor at the school of application of the Valley of Thanks to Paris. In August 1895 he is doctor helps major of 2nd class to the 91e regiment of infantry in Charleville-Mézières. He passes the auxiliary examination of doctor successfully on July 17th, 1897 and as of on August 1st doctor is promoted helps major of 1e class. Its first Algerian assignment in November 1897 is with the ambulance of Sidi-Aïssa. Then it will be the additional military hospital of El-Goléa where there remains one year, return to the hospital of the Dey in Algiers for 6 months before integrating the 5th hunter of Africa in October 1899. In China after the episode known as “55 days of Beijing”, an international task force is set up to occupy the Chinese territory and to impose on the empress the peace and the repression of the Boxers. It forms part and arrives of it in October 1900, with its regiment of zouaves. In April he celebrates his promotion of medical officer of 2nd class. On its return in 1901, it finds its native Auvergne by integrating the 92e regiment of infantry of Clermont-Ferrand in October. In September 1904 it joined the 5th regiment of hussards confined in Nancy. It registered there with the certificate of biological higher learning of University. It writes a report entitled “anatomical and mechanical Study of the belt scapular”. It is the first to regard the scapulo-thoracic junction as an articulation. In Nancy it is interested particularly in the luminothérapie, the héliothérapie and thermotherapy. It develops of a thermal photo radiator, which it makes patent, then on March 4th, 1910, a new patent for another portable unit intended to give showers of hot air. After Nancy, it is found in Macon with the 134e regiment of infantry where it arrives in January 1911. As of January 1912, it joined Algiers, with the 1e regiment of zouaves as medical officer. News of assignment, but without leaving Algiers since it is named at the hospital of the Dey on January 29th, 1913. In this sun country, it continues its work on the influence of the light. The war is declared on August 3rd, 1914. The 24, it embarks with the 3rd brigade of Morocco towards the metropolis. Very quickly it is found on the face directing the first ambulance of the 3rd brigade of Morocco. Its ambulance with is orée of the forest of Laigue and fact appears of model of advanced health professional training. April 17th, 1915, it is quoted with the order of the Brigade with its ambulance. June 3rd, it becomes principal doctor of 2nd class on a purely provisional basis and takes part in the attack of covering of Verdun on August 20th, 1917 when it is gauze. He sees himself quoted on September 12th with the order of the 15th Army. The countryside of France is completed for him with the year 1917, it regains Algeria for Christmas with a promotion of assistant editor of the department of health of the division of Algiers. He discovers that the hospital of the Dey is called now Hôpital Shirt to remember it its fellow-member who dammed up paludism with quinine. He becomes member corresponding of the Exotic Company of Pathology at this time and will be it until its death. February 10th, 1918 its title of principal doctor of 2nd class is allotted to him on a purely final basis. In April 1919 it is named chief of the center of physiotherapy of North Africa at the Hospital Shirt. In June 1920, it is promoted Officer of the Legion of Honor to have to protect the flag from the 7th riflemen in 1914. In March 1921 it is named head doctor. A new turning appears, its former publications were mainly devoted to the light, it also practices radiology and starts to publish on this topic. After 32 years of actual service, including 14 years, 4 months, 28 days of countryside, on September 16th, 1922, Francis are allowed to take advantage of its rights to the retirement. Reprocess military because it opens a cabinet of radiology in Algiers. It is deceased on July 26th, 1927 in Paris. It is buried on August 1st with the cemetery of Louyat to Limoges.
