François Ménégoz
François Ménégoz is a Médecin Grenoble-native famous. He was killed close to ESA, a village located at 60 kilometers in the north of Agadez to the Niger when the vehicle in which he was with his wife and his brother-in-law was grapeshot by a sniper. He was old of 57 years and father of three children.
He was doctor epidemiologist, author of a thesis on the “hormonal receivers on the breast cancers” and holder of a master passed to the the United States.
He had created in 1979 with five friends the departmental register of the cancer of the Isere, of which he had become the director. He had left his functions last October. Under her direction, the team of the register of the cancer of Isere studied by age, sex and place various cancers of this department. She also had to work as expert on the incinerator of household refuse of Gilly-sur-Isère (Savoy), which produced important quantities of dioxane, spread in nature.
