François Loos , (born the December 24th 1953), is a French, old Politician Ministre.
Biography
François Loos is Polytechnicien (promotion 1973) and engineer of the Corps of the Mines, like holder of a DEA of mathematics.
After a beginning of career of engineer in companies in France and Germany, François Loos becomes technical adviser with the cabinet of the president of the the European Parliament Pierre Pflimlin in 1984, then near the Minister for Research and Technology, Hubert Curien (1984 - 1985). It directs during two years the factory of Thann (Rhône-Poulenc), then becomes general secretary of the search for Rhône-Poulenc (1987 - 1989). Of 1990 with 1993, it occupies the general position of director of the group Lohr SA.
François Loos is elected regional adviser of Alsace in 1992 then appointed the Low-Rhine in 1993. He is vice-president of the district council of Alsace since 1996. Re-elected Appointed in 1997, then the first ballot the June 9th 2002, it chaired the board of inquiry on the industrial risks in France after the catastrophe of Toulouse in 2001.
Assistant general secretary of the Radical party valoisien of 1994 with 1995, it becomes on this date national secretary, then national delegate with the international Businesses in 1997, then president of this party of 1999 with October 2003. He is founding member of the UMP.
End 2004, François Loos was at the origin of the creation of new a think European tank in Strasbourg, the Carolus Forum, of which he entrusted creation and the direction to Henri de Grossouvre.
Following the victory of Jacques Chirac to the presidential elections of 2002 and as a cofounder of the UMP, he becomes Minister for the government of Jean-Pierre Raffarin. From May to June 2002, he is Minister for Higher education and Research. From June 2002 at May 2005, he is deputy secretary with the Foreign trade. Lastly, of May 2005 at May 2007, he is deputy secretary with Industry in the government of Dominique de Villepin.
The June 10th 2007, it finds its seat of deputy while being elected as of the first turn by 57% of the voices. It however had to change district, passing from 8th to the 9th district of the the Low-Rhine.
