François Lanusse , general French was born the November 3rd 1767, in Habas, Landes and died of its wounds received with the Bataille of Canope, Egypt, the March 22nd 1801
In 1792, it enlists in one of the first battalions of national volunteers of the High-Vienna. In 1793, it is with the Armée with Pyrenees-Western the under Dugommier. In 1795, it passes to the Armée with Italy. The April 27th 1796, it is named Brigadier general on a purely provisional basis. May 1st 1796, it is confirmed brigadier general. In 1798, it takes part in the Expédition of Egypt. The January 26th 1800, it is named Major general on a purely provisional basis. The September 6th 1800, it is confirmed major general.
The March 21st 1801, with the battle of Canope, it is mortally wounded of a Biscaïen with the right thigh and dies in the night of the 21 to the 22, after amputation of the right leg by Larrey.

Burning ambition and not despairing to come to end to him only, he did not want to await anybody, initially, he reversed all, tît an immense carnage, and succumbed.
