François Lamarque , born in Ménestrol, close to Montpont (the Dordogne), the November 2nd 1753, died in Montpont, the May 13rd 1839.

Lawyer under the Old Mode with the Parliament of Paris. In 1790, François Lamarque is judge with the criminal court of Périgueux. In 1791, it is elected with the legislative Assemblée. Re-elected appointed in 1792 with the national Convention. He proposes the forfeiture of the king, on August 9th, 1792. With the Lawsuit of Louis XVI in January 1793, it votes the death of the king. After deliverbeing delivered to the Austrians by Charles François Dumouriez, he was imprisoned in the fortress of Spielberg, in 1795, he was exchanged against the girl of Louis XVI of France.

Under the Directory

Under the Directory, he was elected with the Conseil of the Five hundred by the department of the the Dordogne, during his mandate of deputy he supported the directing . After the Coup d'etat of the 18 fructidor year V (September 4th 1797), François Lamarque claims strict measurements against the royalists, the priests refractory and the emigrants. He was re-elected with the Council in 1798 but its election was cancelled. In exchange of this cancellation, one appoints it ambassador in Sweden, but the Swedish government refuses this regicide who was François Lamarque. He is again elected in 1799.

Under the Consulate and the First Empire

He joined with Napoleon Bonaparte, after having been hostile with the Coup d'etat of the 18 brumaire year VIII (November 9th, 1799). Napoleon Bonaparte appoints it prefect of the Tarn it enters then to the Court of appeal. He is made knight of Empire by Napoleon i.

Under the Restoration

Regicide, it was exiled in 1816, it found refuge in Suisse. One authorized it to return in France in 1819.
