François Labonté is a realizer, assembler, producer and Canadian scenario writer born in 1949 with Robertsonville (Canada).
In 1976, it returns to the assembly and assists Werner Nold with the assembly of documentary the the Plays of XXIe Olympiade produces by the ONF and carried out by Jean-Claude Labrecque, like Jean Beaudin, Marcel Carrière and Georges Dufaux.
In 1979, after having carried out documentary produced by the ONF, Saturday evening , it creates its own production company with which it produces and carries out a first feature-length film, the House of cards .
In 1983, it takes part in the foundation of a new company, the Films Vision 4 Inc. and, in collaboration with Claude Bonin, produced Years of dreams of Jean-Claude Labrecque, feature-length film selected by the Cannes festival.
As from 1986, it is devoted especially to the scenarisation and the realization of feature-length films for the rooms, as well as mini-series for television. It turns to Canada, to France, in Cuba and to South America.
For a few years, it has collaborated actively with various historians. Particularly with the publication of collections of original documents, with the development of an important database on the Papineau family, as with the drafting of conferences/theater within the framework of the Court of the History , produced by the Commission of the national Capital.
