François Justin (June 26th 1796 with Chambéry - June 11th 1860 with Chambéry) is engineer Sarde and parliamentary Savoyard 19th century. Resulting from a traditionalist family and believing, he studied in Turin, from where he left after four years studies with the diploma for the occupation of civil engineer and hydraulic architect. He worked for the State Sarde of 1817 until his retirement in 1856.

Achievements

  • 1825 : Establishment of the royal road (Chambéry - Turin by the Mount-Cenis) with Saint-Jean-of-Maurienne.

  • 1840 : Development of the new plan of the town of Sallanches after the fire.

  • 1825 : Engineer of third class.

  • 1839 : Engineer of first class.
  • 1840 : Knight about the Holy Maurice and Lazare.
  • 1841 : Engineer-chief of second class.
  • 1845 : Engineer-chief of first class.
  • August 4th 1856: Departure with the retirement.
