François Jouffroy
François Jouffroy , born the 1806 with Dijon and dead the June 25th 1882 with Laval, is a French sculptor.
Biography
Wire of a baker, it is allowed with the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the fine arts of Paris in 1824. It obtains the Prix of Rome in 1832 and it is elected member of the Académie of the Art schools in 1857. Become professor in the Art schools, it had in particular as pupils Louis-Ernest Barrias, Jules Blanchard, Alexandre Falguière, Adrien Etienne Gaudez, Antonin Mercié, Léopold Morice, Augustus Saint-Gaudens, Rene de Saint-Marceaux, António Soares back Reis, Olin Levi Warner, Charles Georges Ferville-Suan, Gustave Delloye.
