François Jaffré (May 28th 1901 with Inguiniel, France - September 22nd 2006 with Viroflay, France) was the sixth hairy Derniers French.
The October 4th 1916, it enlists in the French Navy and undertakes to 10 years in 1917, it is useful like " apprentice-marin" on the training ship Armorique and in 1918, it joined the naval Center of New York to be useful on Contre-torpilleur S which frame on the Atlantique American transport of troop. Lastly, it joined Algeria and serves on the battleship Saint-Louis II . It leaves finally the Marine on September 5th 1922.
In 1933, it obtains its chart of War veteran.
Thereafter, it becomes Comptable then, starting from 1929, inspector of judicial police to the Quai of the Goldsmiths in Paris. This function in the police force will carry out it even in prison in 1941, under the Vichy government. Indeed, François Jaffré “had hidden weapons for the Résistance”. As of 1945, thanks to its military experiment of radio-COM and decoding of messages, it is affected with the cipher office to the Mont Valérien then, later, with against-espionage, the “Swimming pool” of the SDECE (current DGSE) of the Door of the Lilacs. Reprocessed but untiring, François Jaffré will take again service in accountancy, until the 71 years age.
By decree of the April 7th 1996, it is made Chevalier of the Legion of Honor as war veteran of the Guerre 14-18 (it is decorated by Edouard Balladur, then appointed of XVe district of Paris).
He dies at the 105 years age to Viroflay, the September 22nd 2006.
