François Ignace Dunod de Charnage
François Ignace Dunod de Charnage , Lawyer and Historian French, born with Saint-Claude the October 30th 1679, died in Besancon the June 21st 1752.
He taught the right to the Université of Besancon as from December 1720.
He published several works which enjoyed a great authority before our new legislation, inter alia:
- Treated regulations, alienation of the goods of Church and dixmes , 1730 - 1774;
- Observations on the habit of the county of Burgundy , 1756;
- Of the Mortmain and the withdrawals , 1733.
It also left works of history, in particular:
- History of the county of Burgundy , Dijon, 1735 - 1737 and Besancon, 1740;
- History of the church, city and diocese of Besancon , 1750.
