François II of Rohan

François II of Rohan , born with Paris in 1480, died in Paris the October 13rd 1536, was bishop of Angers of 1499 with 1532 and archbishop of Lyon of 1501 with 1536.

Its family makes it return in the orders and it is named abbot of Saint-Aubin of Angers. The Pape Alexandre VI appoints it then administrator of the diocese of Angers, then bishop of Angers after the death of Jean de Rély. It was then named archbishop of Lyon the February 13rd 1501 by preserving its diocese of Angers. It chaired the council of Turns convened in 1510 by Louis XII.

It left the reputation of a prelate of great merit.
