François II Rákóczi (1676 - 1735) prince de Hongrie and of Transylvania 1704 with 1711
Wire of François Rákóczi and Ilona Zrínyi born on March 27th, 1676 a few months before the death of his/her father. He conquers with his troop of Kuruc all Eastern Hungary and receives Diet of Gyulafehérvár the title of prince de Transylvanie on July 8th 1704 under the name of François II Rákóczy.
He is proclaimed regent of Hungary in September 1705 and research the Alliance Fran1caise while making declare the deposed Habsbourg of their rights on the kingdom of Hungary to the assembly of Onod the April 5th 1707.

Beaten in Trencsén in 1708 it cannot prevent Sándor Károlyi from negotiating a peace separated with the imperial ones in 1711. It loses its title of prince de Transylvanie in February 1711. With the Paix of Szatmar the April 30th 1711, the insurrectionists of which François II Rákóczi itself are amnestied if they lend oath to the new emperor Charles VI of Habsbourg.
François Rákóczy refuses to subscribe to this treaty and seeks in vain the alliance of the tsar Pierre Ier Large the. He pleads for the independence of Hungary in 1713 more during the negotiations of the Traités of Utrecht. Then the remainder of its life passes exiles some in Prussia, France and Turkey. He dies in Rodosto the April 8th 1735. He was buried in the vault of the Embassy of France located today within the Lycée Saint-Beno4it cheese at Istanbul.
