François Francœur

François Francœur is a Compositeur and interprets French (Paris, September 21st 1698 - Paris, August 5th 1787).

Biography

Born in a family from musicians, it is Violon ist in the orchestra of the royal Académie of Music as of the fifteen years age. Contemporary musician of Branch, it composed much of Symphonie S, of and chamber music operas, of which some in collaboration with François Rebel.

In 1739, he becomes Master of music to the Opera, then general inspector associated in 1743. He becomes superintendent of the chamber music in 1744. In 1757, it is named with the head of the Opéra of Paris, in joint management with Rebel.
