François Dilasser is a painter contemporary, born with Lesneven (Finistere) in 1926.

Self-educated painter, Dilasser always drew but it is only in 1966, after a professional path, that it decides to be devoted entirely to painting.

He works per series, which he finishes only when he estimates to have exhausted the subject. Some topics treated by the artist: trees, hands, heads, comets…. Dilasser does not seek to restore an image, but rather the emotion felt during the creation of work.

Painter of intuition and instinct, Dilasser is difficult to locate in the landscape of contemporary painting. He recognizes himself for Masters Gauguin, Rembrandt, Paul Klee, Bissière and Picasso.
