François Digard is a politician French, member of the UMP.

He is mayor of Saint-Lo since 1995 and regional adviser of Basse-Normandie since 1986. He is also president of the Communauté of communes of the agglomeration saint-loise.

Strong man of the policy of the English Channel, he is general secretary of the English Channel of the RPR then president of the departmental committee of the UMP since 1977. Candidate with the candidature like deputy of the District of Saint-Lo to succeed Jean-Claude Lemoine, it finally withdrew himself before the official nomination of his party.
