François Cornut-Gentille

François Cornut-Gentille , Politician French, born the May 22nd 1958 with Saint-Mandé (the Valley-of-Marne).

Biography

Born in 1958 in Saint-Mandé (the Valley-of-Marne), François Cornut-Gentille is married and father of five children. His/her uncle, Bernard Cornut-Nice, was Minister for the Général de Gaulle and mayor of Cannes.

Of 1983 with 1993, it is in charge of studies then director of studies of opinion in two survey institutes, the Sofres and Louis Harris.

In 1993, it becomes appointed second district of Haute-Marne, under the label RPR (re-elected into 1997,2002 and 2007 pennies the label UMP). In 1995, he is elected mayor of Saint-Dizier (re-elected in 2001).

To Saint-Dizier, it leads an ambitious program of urban renovation in order to reunify a city divided between its center town and its modern district, Green-Wood.

Political life

In 1988, it is named departmental secretary of RPR in Haute-Marne.

Since 2004, it is the organizer of the Club of the compass, friendly abstract of about fifty UMP deputies.

It is presented to the legislative elections of 2007 under the slogan “To choose Haute-Marne”.

The June 10th 2007, at the end of the first turn, it is elected with 56.30% of the voices.

Specialist in the questions of defense

Specialist in the questions of defense within the National Assembly, it is in 2002 draftsman of an opinion of the commission of the defense of the National Assembly for the budget of Defense. In 2004, become Member of the Commission of finances, he becomes special protractor of the appropriations of defense.

In June 2003, he is the author of a report/ratio " the ministry for defense and the reform budgétaire" .

Since 2006, it takes part in work of the Economic council of Defense, organization of council attached to the ministry for Defense.

The employee profit sharing

Gaullist, it is missionné in April 2005 by Jean-Pierre Raffarin, Prime Minister, to study possible reforms of the employee profit sharing. In the report/ratio which it wrote with the deputy UMP Jacques Godfrain " the participation for tous" , it recommends a legislative pause and a modernization with the margin of the current right.

These various proposals were included in the law of December 30th, 2006 for the development of the participation and the employee stock ownership. François Cornut-Gentille is thus at the origin of the creation of the booklet of salary savings, document given to each employee during the signing of her work contract, allowing him to know with precision the devices set up within her company.

France-Spain

In 2002, François Cornut-Gentille becomes president of the group of parliamentary friendships France-Spain which gathers more than one hundred of French deputies.

Recognized for its knowledge of the Hispanic world, it takes part in the Franco-Spanish civil forum which is held concomitantly with each top of Franco-Spanish State.
