François Corneloup

François Corneloup is a Saxophoniste (primarily baritone and soprano) of Jazz French born the January 14th 1963.

It is a Autodidacte which begins in the Eighties and Nineties by connecting the experiments and the meetings, in particular in collective with the company Lubat. It obtains truly the recognition only in 1998 with the publication of its album Working Jardins in trio with Claude Tchamitchian and Eric Échampard. It is since a major musician of the French scene.

Among its collaborations: large Lousadzak of Claude Tchamitchian, Soñjal Septet of Henri Texier, his duets with the clarinettist Sylvain Kassap, as well as a more original work: its duets with the Breton singer Yann-Fañch Kemener.

Another facet of its work is its collaboration with the group Ursus Minor, with Tony Hymas, Jef Lee Johnson and David King for a universe much more Rock, Funk, and even Rap. To Mineapolis, at the time of the event Minnesota On the Seine, François Corneloup presented new a quintet with Dominique Pifarély, Dean Magraw, Anthony Cox and JT Bates.

Its musical collaborations are multiple and include Marc Ducret, Yves Robert, Dominique Pifarély, Louis Sclavis, François Raulin, Philippe Deschepper, Médéric Collignon, Jacques Higelin (With the heroes of the stunt-flying)…

He has a sound of saxophone very characteristic, very expressive, made very frank attacks and very constant notes.
