François Boureau

François Boureau (born on October 18th, 1947 with Saint-Symphorien in the department French of the Expensive and deceased on June 23rd, 2005 close to Charm el-Cheikh in Egypt) was a Médecin French specialist in Neurophysiologie and in the treatment in the Douleur.

He made his studies of medicine at the hospitals of Saint-Anthony and the Pity-Salpêtrière in Paris, and was teaching with the Université Pierre-and-Marie-Curie as from 1987.

Often regarded as the “pioneer of the fight against the pain in France”, it creates in 1995 an associative network baptized Lutter against pain (LCD), intended to sensitize and train the health professionals with the treatment of the pain. It in particular was responsible for a Center of evaluation and of treatment of the pain, chair national College of the university lecturers of the pain and president of the Scientific advice of Institute UPSA of the pain, and organized several international symposiums on the subject.

It contributed in particular to the Larousse Médical and was guitarist of Jazz.
