Boucq , of its true name François Boucq , is a Dessinateur of Cartoons French born with Lille on November 28th 1955.
François Boucq presents drawings to the style excavated, bulky, contrasting with a humor based on the absurdity and derision.
Born in Lille (where he always lives). Little interested by the studies, he prefers the Dessin and the Martial arts, however, it is at the school and the college that he meets his future scenario writers, Philippe Delan and Stephan Deleurence. After a passage to the Art schools, it leaves to Paris to show its cartoons with the studio of animation Pink Splash before turning over on Lille. Very quickly, he is engaged by the Point (of 1974 with 1975) then the Expansion , Playboy , the Morning of Paris .
In 1975, it enters the world of the data base thanks to the review Mormoil before working in Pilote and Icy Fluide of 1977 with 1982 (it draws there still punctually since). He is his first successes with his short stories published in " In Suivre". He also collaborated in the Science review and Life Junior. He continues to practice martial arts and is black belt 5th daN of Kendo. He also drew the covers of many San-Antonio where its drawings with shifted humor and the bright colors make during the characters created by Frederic Dard.
Searle and Sempé a time, it is inspired then by Franquin and Jijé at its entry with Mormoil when it discovers Alexis. He directs himself then towards a realistic drawing exploiting the shift with a humor of Non-sens. In Icy Fluide, it finds its second great influence in Goossens. He also admires Breccia, Steadman, Rembrand, De Vinci, Raphaël.
Not wishing to remain fixed on only one style, there will change some regularly according to its stories and its collaborators.
