François Boko is a Togolese politician, born the January 29th 1965 in Tchichao a suburb near the town of Kara (Togo). He is married father of two children.

Currently Lawyer at the bar of Paris, it incarnates the hope of an alternative to the eyes of thousands of his compatriots.

Born from a military father, François Boko follows military studies to the military special School of Saint-Cyr military school Coëtquidan (France) before being allocated to Togo where it integrates the gendarmerie. He collaborates with the International committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). He teaches at the International institute of humanitarian right of Sanremo (Italy). Resuming academic works in 1988 with the University of Paris I - Sorbonne, it obtains a control then a DEA before supporting a doctorate in political sciences. François Boko enters then to the School of Formation of Bar (EFB) of Paris, where, in 1998, it obtains the Training certificate with the Occupation of Lawyer (WRAPPED).

Of return to Togo, it enters in conflict with the military hierarchy of the president Gnassingbé Eyadéma. In December 2002, François Boko is named Minister of Interior Department, safety and decentralization. It will preserve this station after the re-election of Gnassingbé Eyadéma in June 2003. With died of this last in 2005, it is charged to prepare the discussed elections of April 24th. The day before the poll, claiming a carryforward of the election because of the risks of explosions of violence, it is constrained to resign.
