Francesco or François Bigottini is a Acteur, Dramaturge, Décorateur and Machiniste of Théâtre Italy N born with Rome towards 1717 and died after 1794.

In its Memories , Carlo Goldoni known as to have met this actor with Rimini in 1741, where it held the roles of Arlequin S. It was “good actor for the roles of his employment, but surprising for the metamorphoses and the transformations”.

In one of its letters, he writes to the directors Vitzthumb and Compain: “ I have almost all my decorations and machines for my coins, thus I will thus provide you all that I have, decorations, machines, cords, pulleys, scrap and all the mischiefs together, thus you will provide me only wood ”. The directors finally engage it like Arlequin for the season 1774 - 1775: the contract stipulates that it will have “to lend all its machines and decorations”.

The February 18th 1777, it begins again with the Theater-Italian, in Arlequin merry spirit , a part of its composition. The Mercure de France written: “Its metamorphoses are very numerous and very surprising. The sior Bigottini is admired by the variety of his changes, promptitude and the address with which it carries out them, by contrast that it puts in his various roles, and by the various talents that it develops. This actor sings, in an extremely pleasant way, airs of his composition”.

After the suppression of the Italian kind beginning 1780, Bigottini is congédié with an allowance corresponding to its former salaries. In January 1780, it joins François Duval-To malt, Louis Hamoir and Jean-Nicolas the Draper to direct the Théâtre of Variety-Amusing the, but must give up eleven months later because of its own financial problems.
