François Baffard , known as the Père Angel of Holy-Rosalie (Blois, 1655 - Paris, 1726) was an erudite French genealogist.

Monk about the Augustins exposed, it wrote the State of France , which is a talk of all the ecclesiastical, civil and military offices, with their prerogatives and their origin.

He revives and increased considerably the genealogical Histoire of the house of France of the Père Anselme, work which was a long time a reference.

He was going to publish his work when he died suddenly. The Père Simplicien, which it had joined for the drafting, published it in 1726.
