François Bachelot is a French politician, radiothérapeute of profession, born the April 19th 1940 with the Mans (the Sarthe).
In policy, it adheres initially to the RPR. In 1981, it takes part in the foundation of Solidarity and defense of freedoms (SDL), movement resulting from the civic Service of action, competitor of the Movement initiative and freedoms (MILLET), where appear Alain Juppe, Jacques Toubon, Yvon Bourges and Jacques Médecin for RPR, Alice Salt maker-Seité and Jacques Dominati for UDF, as well as members of these parties more marked on the right, and which often join the National front.
Following the example many other notable economic and/or political ones (Bruno Chauvierre, Pascal Arrighi, Charles de Chambrun, Michel de Rostolan, Olivier d' Ormesson, Jean Roussel, Jacques Vaysse-Temple, Pierre Descaves, Guy Jaouen), Dr. Bachelot adopts the FN in the middle of the years 1980, and leads the list of extreme right-hand side to the legislative elections of March 1986 in Seine-Saint-Denis, which obtains 14,52% of the votes cast and two deputies.
At the beginning of November 1987, François Bachelot replaces Olivier d' Ormesson - who resigned following the remarks of Jean-Marie Le Pen on the gas chambers - at the political office of the FN, confirming its ambitions to become general secretary of the party of extreme right-hand side.
During the presidential elections of 1988, it directs the countryside of Jean-Marie Le Pen to Paris. At the time of the legislative ones of June, it is presented in the district of Aulnay-sous-Bois and obtains 16,6% of the votes cast with the first turn, result raised for a candidate FN but insufficient to be present at the second turn.
When Jean-Marie Le Pen makes her pun on Michel Durafour, September 1988: “Durafour-crematory Mister, thank you for this consent! ” , the doctor requires explanations of the president of the FN, according to Nouvel Observateur of May 2nd 2002. The president of the rétorque FN: “One needs that you know it, it is wanted and we will start again. It would be intolerable that we undergo the yoke of the juivery. ” For François Bachelot, this time, it is too: he leaves the National front.
With thirteen other frameworks of the outgoing FN, it joined CNI in October 1989. Then, it leaves little by little the polic life. It recently published a book on the elephants, animals which interest it since the years 1970.
He was the brother-in-law of Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, born Narquin, Minister for Health in the Government of Francois Fillon since June 19th, 2007.
