François Archambault is graduate in dramatic writing of the National school of theater of Canada (1993), in addition to to have supplemented major in French Studies with the Université of Montreal.

He writes, between 1989 and 1998, twelve plays and takes part in seven collectives of authors. Its part dry Bottom (1993), presented initially in public reading to the International festival of the francophonies of Limoges, will be presented then to Montreal by finishing National school, then taken again by the Theater PàP in February 1995.

He also wrote and put in scene If the tendency is maintained and Gaining Them , part which was in nomination for the Mask of the original text at the time of the Soirée of the Masks of 1996. The 15 second old text received in 1998 the Prix of the General governor of Canada, and equips it with creation of the part received, at the time of the Evening of the Masks 1999, the Mask of the Revelation and that of private the theater Production. The same year, Adieu beauty gained the Mask of the Areas Production for its part.
