François-Placid of Baudry de Piencourt , born in? and died in? is old a bishop of Mende in Gévaudan.
During its episcopate it acquires of the Tapisserie of Aubusson on the life of the Virgin Mary in 8 tables, which from now on are classified.
It also arranges the part of the city located between the Lot (today the bridge of Berlière) and places it of Angiran (become Place Charles de Gaulle) of an alley which since door its name. This Piencourt alley was bordered of trees and was a long time the place of walk of Mendois. It skirted two meadows, the pre claux one and the pre vival, which was possessions of the diocese. This walk of the Piencourt alley was planted poplars black of Italy.
