François-governed Hutin
François-Governed Hutin is a press baron French and journalist, chairman of the regional newspaper Ouest-France , born the June 26th 1929 with Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine), wire of Paul Hutin-Desgrées (1888-1975), appointed MRP of Morbihan of 1946 to 1955.
Entered with Ouest-France as journalist in 1961, François Régis Hutin climbed very quickly the levels of them, to arrive at the top, initially as managing director in 1965, then as chairman in 1984. He constituted around the daily newspaper an original and powerful press group, one of most important of the French press. This group joins together, in particular, four other daily newspapers, the Press of the English Channel , Press-Ocean , the Mail of the West and free Maine , which his/her son-in-law Matthieu Fuchs directs, 38 local weekly magazines through its subsidiary company Publihebdos, the company Spir Communication, specialized in the free newspapers, the Precom advertizing agency, the Ouest-France editions, and the free daily newspaper 20 minutes, in partnership with the Norwegian press group Schibsted.
François-governed Hutin signs regularly with the one of Ouest-France, and in particular saturdays, like in the Sunday edition Sunday Ouest-France, of the leading articles in which it posts its engagements in favor of the Church, Europe and catholic teaching. It also put its newspaper at the service of its combat against the capital punishment or for the improvement of the living conditions in the prisons. It publishes also regularly great reports carried out generally abroad, in disinherited countries or victims of catastrophes. He is officer of the Légion of honor. October 6th, 2006, while giving his decoration to him to the Elysium, the president Jacques Chirac greeted " this remarkable directing but also this large witness, this humanistic militant and this leader-writer engagé".
